I’ve grappled with this concept of how do you properly chart a path from any particular starting point to the right training and a quality job/career/wage. Are our systems flexible enough and informed by multiple experiences enough to be adaptive in how it guides someone through each step. It’s great to encourage this type of work around the nuance and support innovations that engage it.

Giving a view of a student journey while expanding out to the ecosystem is a delicate balance and I this approach is meaningful. You do a practice here of using terms but attaching to example so we can really illuminate what we are talking about.

Like others in this thread, I really like the look towards design principles and guides.

There's a meta-transparency that happens here too--"here's transparency and clarity in making recommendations" and then, "here's transparency and clarity in how we made this system."

It also has me thinking about the challenge of decision making or choices; more choices is not necessarily good (e.g. choosing among 3-4 is great; but 10 or more, exhausting)...

so it makes me wonder if the system would also come with its own level system (green, yellow, red light?), where it's like "if you want a limited amount of details and choices, choose X"--knowing they can always pull the "Show me behind the curtain"....then you could have "I want a medium amount of details and choices"....then, "I want all the choices/details"--something that recognizes there's lots of different paths and yet they might also be overlapping.
